Commissioning of 18 MW Modular Power Plant with TCG 2032B gas engines by MKS Group of Companies

The MWM distributor for the Russian Federation “MKS Group of Companies” has set the first locally designed, produced and supplied 4,5MW Modular Power Plant (MPP), based on 4x TCG 2032B V16 gensets, into operation. The in the Chelyabinsk region installed MPPs are capable to provide a total electrical output of 18 MW to its nearby mining facility. The MKS Group is an engineering enterprise that specializes on construction of Mini-CHP plants, energy centers with power capacity up to 120 MW on turnkey basis.
The MWM gas engines of the TCG 2032 series are perfectly geared to the challenges of a dynamic market environment. The series runs on all gas types and meets the high requirements of a broad range of applications and guarantees efficiency, reliability, flexibility and environmental sustainability. The TCG 2032B V16 gas engine includes a fast ramp-up option for a quick start that is becoming increasingly important due to growing intermittent renewable capacity such as wind and solar.

The concept of the Modular Power Plant consists of smaller auxiliary container units which can be produced in parallel with the genset, are easier to transport and very fast to assemble.
